About the programme
This is a Feature, Framing Special aimed at complete novices who want to learn how to frame fabric based artwork, such as tapestry, cross stitch, needlepoint. Day 1 is based on our Basics of Framing package, which teaches a practical set of skills in readiness for Day 2: essentially our Framing Fabrics course.
Basics of Framing (click for more) deals with all aspects of planning and making a mounted and framed piece of 2D artwork, such as a print,
Framing Fabrics (click for more)explores how to prepare, stretch and attach different kinds of needlecraft ready for framing. Students will be able to complete their own fabric framing project through the course of the day.
