Over the weekend 20th & 21st July, the whole of the Crusader Industrial estate will be having the lines for parking spaces re-painted. This means that vehicles will not be able to enter our site whilst work is in progress.

However, the store will be open for the usual opening times (10 am – 2.00 pm) on Saturday, but please be aware that customers will have to park on Stirling Road, and then walk down to the store. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Framing Planning Sheets

PlanninSheetPortrait.jpg

During training sessions we have noticed that our planning sheets needed a little bit of an update. We especially spotted how confusing it can become trying to plan a “portrait” style project using a “landscape” designed diagram.  To that end, we have updated the sheets to show a portrait version as well as an updated landscape version.  Hope this proves useful. Brighton & Derby

Derby Arts.jpg

What a choice of places to spend a weekend in the summer: seaside or the Dales.  You could spend the daytime finding out about framing and then enjoy the evenings taking in the local area. Click the venues / course titles for more.

In Brighton: Art & Photography framing weekend, 3rd & 4th August.  This remains a very popular way to learn about doing your own picture framing.  Having learnt how to plan, create and finish great quality framing based on a piece of your own work, on the second day, you then discover a range of creative and stylish mount cutting techniques.  There are still a few places remaining: book quickly to avoid disappointment.

In Derby (nr Matlock):  As well as the Art & Photography Framing weekend at the Derbyshire Arts Centre on 17th & 18th August, we are also running two specials, ideal for anybody wanting to add few more strings to their framing bows.  Adding Decorative Finishes to Frames (16th August) will appeal to anybody wishing to create a truly individualised look to their work.  Then, on Monday 19thAugust, there is Stretching and Framing Canvas Based Artwork providing essential skills and ideas for anybody looking to frame either photography or painted art on canvas.  Again, don’t delay with bookings as there are still some spaces available.

July 2013

We hope you are enjoying the summer sunshine and that you are out there taking more shots, sketching and generally being arty so that you will have plenty to frame in the coming weeks.  And, of course that is where we come in handy.  Also a reminder of some training days in a couple of beautiful locations, this August.

However, this is mainly to alert customers to work going on, on the Crusader Industrial estate this weekend and how that affects you.
