Open Day Follow-Up

What a brilliant time we had at our open day on November 2nd. Many thanks to the (more than) 100 visitors who visited during the 4 hours we were open. There were plenty of familiar faces, and some who were new to us, taking advantage of our first, free seminar demonstrating the whole framing process. In fact the afternoon seminar had the highest ever attendance with over 30 people sitting / standing in on it. Look out for some support materials being available, in the next month, about the themes we covered during the two sessions.
We had lots of very positive feedback about the day, not least about the new, extensive range of mouldings we have in store. So if you’re passing on your journeys before Christmas, why not drop in and see us. LOCATION. And if you felt you missed out on some of the bargains in store on our Open Day, have a look at the mount cutter offers below.

Congratulations to David Whittle, GCF

Congratulations to David Whittle, the latest of our DIYframing trainees to have successfully achieved his Fine Art Trade Guild, Guild Commended Framer (GCF) award. He has completed all of our training courses over the years, starting with the Business Development Week in March 2011. We will definitely want to keep in touch to see how things progress, as he is one of a handful of our students who is running a framing business abroad: David lives in France. He is pictured here at the end of the Business Development Week with all of the work he completed over the sessions. We wish him all the best with his own business.

Introducing Our New Trainer: Sue Harper

We are delighted to announce that Sue Harper has joined our training team. She will be mainly looking after training weekends operating in the south and east of the UK. She has an impressive background in practical training and developing training materials in the IT sector. She is also a keen photographer, as well as enjoying an interest in many creative art forms. She was one of our first batches of students, learning how to do picture framing in the first session that we ran in Norwich. Since then Sue has undertaken just about all of our training modules and has enjoyed framing for customers, friends and family as part of a small business she runs from home.

November 2013
So, now we enter the pre-Christmas build up. It’s certainly worth having another look at our site for gifts. We have some quirky items that won’t cost a fortune as well as those very special “big” presents. The beauty of it is, they can all have a real practical application and can lead to some exciting new pictures to hang at home.
In addition to the unabashed sales plug, we have a mixed bag of news about special offers in November, reminders of training dates around Christmas and two of our ex-trainees, who are doing ever so well!
All in all, we hope we can help you out with something this Christmas.
Duncan
