Last Orders, Delivery Dates & Opening Times

Orders & Deliveries:
We will do our utmost to dispatch UK Mainland orders in time for Christmas, if your order is placed on or before midday 20th December 2013: please allow a couple of extra days if your delivery address is highlands or islands.

We cannot guarantee small items sent by post (£3.50 plus vat for carriage) will arrive in time for Christmas, so please give us a call if you have a small order, which is particularly urgent.

If there is a problem with stock availability we will call you.

Good news - we will be open on 21st December from 10.00am to 2.00pm (Saturday opening) and on Monday 23rd (usual weekday times) for any last minute purchases for Christmas.

After that, the following changes apply to store / warehouse opening times:

  • CLOSED from 2.00 pm 24th December (Christmas Eve): NB no courier service available on 24th December.
  • RE-OPENS Friday 27th  December from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
  • CLOSED ON Saturday 28th December
  • OPEN ON 30th & 31st December, 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Normal opening times resume, 9.00 am Thursday  2nd January 2014

1:1 BespokeTraining Sessions

If you find it difficult to make weekend training sessions around the UK, or you need to focus your efforts in a specific field, it may be worth considering a bespoke 1:1 training day.  We have worked with artists needing to frame particular types of work in specific ways, people wanting to make a start with learning to frame, before moving abroad, and even made a “workshop visit” to Cornwall, helping a customer familiarise themselves with their newly purchased “Pro Kit”.

Last Saturday we helped somebody, new to framing, make a start on producing a highly creative look to their textile and mixed media pieces of work.  And it was a great success all round.  Why not contact us and see if we can support you?

Mouldings: New Range

Our new, extended range of moulding styles has certainly been a great success.  We had a lot of positive feedback at our Open Day, in November, about the new stock and this has continued from many of you placing on-line orders and from phone conversations.  The full range is now available for viewing as easily downloadable PDFs: one for each style plus a separate price list.  These can be accessed under each of the moulding category pages, or by choosing from the list in the right hand column on the (general) mouldings page.

All mouldings can be bought according to meterage required for a project, as part of our Chop Service or, for greater savings, look into our options for “buying by the pack”

Project Library: Latest Additions

Having made the promise to produce some follow-up support materials for the free demonstrations at our November Open Day, we are pleased to say that these are currently underway.  The projects were designed to use some of the newer mouldings we now have in stock and show off the added design potential. Three of the ideas are completely new to the DIYframing archive and so are being completed for the project library (Projects 12 a – 12c) as we finish writing this newsletter.  Two others have been built around existing projects or handy hints sheets. For all links and support with these items read the full news article.
