Discover Mount Cutting & Framing

DIYframing WorkshopsIn conjunction with the exhibition organisers, we are running a suite of workshops, demonstrations and seminars about mounting and framing your images and how this might even be developed into a framing business.

The Workshops are practical sessions where you can try your hand at planning and making mounts,  extend your cutting skills further to create double mounts or even creating more depth with deep bevel mounts.

STOP PRESS: Places are SELLING OUT fast with both Cut Your Own Quality Mounts worshops fully booked, because of the demand we are now adding 4 more sessions one each day. Book early to avoid disappointment.

For those who want to extend their repertoire of mount cutting skills, discover new ways of adding presentation interest to mounts and really explore how you can show your work in dynamic, imaginative ways, our demonstrations are for you.  In these you'll discover a few tricks of the trade and see specialised techniques in action: the best bit is, all ideas are easy to carry out on the simplest mount cutting kit.

Each session is built on core elements from a highly successful training modules run by UK School of Framing, throughout the year and all around the UK.

The Photography Show 2014

Focus on Imaging has been a highlight of our annual calendar for many years.  It gave us a great chance to meet up with so many of our customers as well as introduce DIYframing to even more new contacts.  Plus it was an excellent market place for our mount cutters, framing kits and the sundries you all need for framing.

Clearly it was a sad moment when it all came to an end last year.  Then, almost without breaking stride, another company took up the baton and have organised this exciting, new national / international event: The Photography Show.

We are especially pleased because, not only will we have a trade stand (N5), but we have also teamed up with the organisers to run a series of workshops and demonstrations all about mount cutting and framing, with the definite emphasis on presenting photography.

So this edition of the newsletter is bringing you up to date with where, when and what is happening with the Photography show.  See you there.
