Holiday Last Orders & Opening Times

We will do our utmost to dispatch UK Mainland orders in time for Christmas, if your order is placed on or before 10.00am on 22nd December 2014.

It is vital that someone will be available to receive the goods at the delivery address you specify on 23rd & 24th December: please allow a couple of extra days if your delivery address is highlands or islands.

We cannot guarantee small items sent by post (£3.50 plus vat for carriage) will arrive in time for Christmas, so please give us a call if you have a small order, which is particularly urgent. If there is a problem with stock availability we will call you.

Good news - we will be open on 20th December from 10.00am to 2.00pm (Saturday opening) and on Monday 22nd & Tuesday 23rd (usual weekday times) for any last minute purchases for Christmas.

After that, the following changes apply to store / warehouse opening times:

  • CLOSED from 2.00 pm 24th December (Christmas Eve): NB no courier service available on 24th December.

  • CLOSED ON Saturday 27th December

  • RE-OPENS Monday 29th December from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm

  • OPEN ON 30th & 31st December, 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Normal opening times resume, 9.00 am Friday 2nd January 2015

Happy Christmas from UK School of Framing

From all at UK School of Framing, a big thank you and every best wish for a Happy Christmas and a brilliant holiday break.

This has been another incredible year for us and we continue to receive such positive responses to our training. We have worked with many new students, plenty of returnees trying new and more challenging projects, a lot of people taking their framing forward as a new business and framers who started out with little formal training, just wanting to check out a few pointers.

In 2014 we have worked with 350+ people, over 38 Art & Photography Framing Weekends, in 17 different venues around the UK.  We have completed more 1:1 training days than ever before: these sessions often pack into a single day, key elements / techniques from 2 normal training modules. Then, there have been the Business Development Weeks: always a great success and who knows where they will lead? We have helped to sew the seeds leading to so many part & full-time businesses: our Case Studies form only the tip of the Framing Business iceberg we have helped to form.

We look forward to hearing from you soon to hear about your plans to start or develop your framing skills, and trust that we can help.

If you are at the stage of working out what kit to plump for, take a look at our Training Kit List.  There are practical savings (voucher scheme) in buying a complete kit, but you could also use it as a check-list to devise a shopping list suited to your individual needs.

Gift Vouchers at Christmas

If you have an artist, photographer or somebody creative looking for a new outlet for their interests you could introduce them to picture framing.  There are store vouchers available, starting at just £5.00 as well as, for an extra special gift, training day vouchers: ideal for novices or for adding another key framing technique to the skills bank.  Have a browse, it might be just what you are looking for: GIFT VOUCHERS

December 2014

Happy Christmas from all at DIYframing: we hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Many thanks to all our customers for your continued support through 2014 and also to the hundreds of new visitors discovering what we have to offer for the first time.

Please be sure to make a note of our opening times and postal routines over the Christmas and New Year break: as you will see, we do make every effort to ensure your orders arrive at the right time.  The best way to avoid disappointment is to make purchases in good time.

As well as a note about timings, it is a good chance to look at some last minute ideas for gifts, treats and simple stocking fillers as well as planning ahead for a great start to 2015.  If new to the site, see what we have to offer in terms of kit and materials, but also take time to browse through our support materials (FREE to registered members).  There are ideas there for complete beginners as well as those wanting to try out something different.
