Here are a few news items we produced for release on the Photography Show website.  If you haven't already spotted them, we hope you will find them interesting.

More to Mounts than Meets the Eye

There’s more to choosing mountboard than colour alone.  Light shades with a textured surface provide a subtle contrast to smooth prints. A black edge to the mount provides clear definition.  For real intensity on high contrast shots, try black, black core. There’s even a suedette finish! Read in Full

Business Development Week: Make Framing Your Business

BusinessWeek3D.jpg

For those of you who are already planning ahead to earn money from the presentation and framing of artwork, whether as a means of selling your own pieces, adding an additional service to your art / photography based business or, indeed, looking to develop a new opportunity in the framing industry, make sure you look at what our Business Development week can offer. From how to make your first frames, through the practical ideas for setting up your business to projects such as 3D (box) framing, conservation and framing fabric based art: it's all available during that one week.

This programme of 7 modules is running from the 7th - 13th March (inclusive).  It can take you from being a complete novice to having the confidence to take your first orders in just 7 days.  There are several options for booking: all 7 days; if you have already attended one of our training weekends then the 5 other modules apply; or you can "cherry-pick" any of the days you feel would help develop your current skills and knowledge.

However, with just a few days to go before it all begins, it's worth booking a place very soon.  For more details read  Business Development Week
