If you have never trained with DIYframing, the 2 workshops we are running at the show provide a real taster of what our training days offer.  They cover one or two significant elements of our typical full day sessions: enough to give you a clear, new skill with best practice techniques or the urge to take your skills even further. Each workshop lasts just over 1 hour and runs each day, according to a timetable, over the 4 exhibition days.   All bookings must be made by visiting:

DIY MOUNTING WORKSHOPS on The Photography Show Website

And if you really like what you’ve tried you can book any of our 13 training modules at our stand H101

Photographers: Save Time No Waste on Pre-Cut Sheets

BlackcoreA range of sheet materials offered in the pre-cut form makes sense for so many reasons:
  • it saves time cutting down from larger sheets
  • can save wastage
  • machine cut pieces provide an accurate starting point
  • more manageable in smaller work spaces
  • work easily with smaller mount cutting systems …

… the list goes on.

Grey Backing Board

Our range is  set at 500 mm x 400 mm.  So many photographers need to work with this size board for club competitions, exhibitions and RPS presentations, it makes sense for us to decide on those as our “default” dimensions.

All items in the pre-sized range are available in packs of 10:

  • Polypropelene display bags
  • White-lined, grey backing board
  • Arqadia MountboardExtra-tac self-adhesive board
  • Britannia whitecore mount board
  • Arqadia whitecore mount board
  • Arqadia blackcore mount board.

For prices and further details visit Pre-Sized Sheet Materials on our DIYframing.com website.

Latest: STAS Multirail - Even More Options

STASMultirailBooklet.jpg

STAS gallery hanging systems continue to be the premier name in hanging systems for all types of artwork.  The clear, design lead look of the many solutions for presenting individual pieces or groups of framed works in all types of settings are combined with such a simple method of installation that once in place you can add, remove or rearrange your pictures without damaging walls and paintwork.

The multirail system offers even more possibilities as you can add lighting to the system with clip in fixtures and lamps.  We are now able to supply an even wider range of lamp and armature styles.  These can be seen via the multirail area on our site.  We have also included a link to a new PDF booklet featuring the multirail system. As well as highlighting the full range of product options, it provides a step by step approach advising of the products needed to create a working system and to making the choices best suited for your individual needs.

February 2016

We are now very close to two big events in the DIYframing calendar: The Photography Show 2016 (NEC Birmingham); and  the first of only two Business Development Weeks run each year at our High Wycombe base.  In each case, there is a lot to discover, so, in this newsletter we give you reminders about what is happening.

Also, with photography in mind we can offer pre-cut mountboard to the size needed for a lot of your presentation and competition needs.  Big savings on your time, and no need to manage waste material from cutting down bigger boards.

We are also very proud to stock / supply / distribute STAS gallery hanging systems, helping homes, businesses and galleries to achieve stunning presentation standards with their disply pieces of artwork. In this bulletin we have news of lighting options and what to choose in the ever popular Multirail system.
