Competition: Review Your Logan Mountcutter Win £50 voucher

At the Photography show this year we were visited by a gentleman who had bought a  Logan mountcutter from us in 2010 and he said it was the best purchase he had ever made in terms of his photography.

So we thought why not get our customers to share their experiences of the Logan mountcutters.   Jot down your review in no more than 50 words and send it to info@diyframing.com and we will select the best one for a £50.00 product voucher.

This bank holiday weekend is a great time to buy a mountcutter from us if you have not already done so.  We will be including a free pack of 10 x 270 blades with each order for a Logan 350, 450 or 550 cutter. Orders made between 29th April and 2nd May 2016 inclusive will qualify.

Add some precut mountboard so you can get started straight away or our lucky dip Britannia mountboard pack - great value at £28.00 for 10 sheets.

New Dates For Specific Project Framing Workshops

We often have people asking us about more specialised framing projects and frequently they are surprised at the range of opportunities we offer to develop and fine tune your framing expertise with a variety of more specialised workshops.

As a result of the enquiries made about running a Sports Shirt Framing training day over a weekend, we have re-scheduled a session for: Saturday 4th June at our base in High Wycombe.

It is a rare opportunity as, most weekends, trainers and kit are fully booked working around the UK. If you are interested in that session, use the link above to discover more.

Also worth a special mention is our workshop featuring how to use a wide variety of products to add bespoke finishes to your frames.  We are running two sessions this summer, at either end of the country: one in Manchester, the second at our High Wycombe base.  Click on the links to discover more about what you would learn.

New Product: Canvas Offset Fittings

The latest addition to our store is canvas offset fixings.  They can be used when fitting stretched canvas into a frame with a shallow rebate. They are also useful for shadow box framing.  Customers have also discovered that they work well the other way round, to hold the backing, mount and glass in a frame where those elements are it below the level of the moulding: makes for a firm fit but easy to swap elements in the frame.  Available as packs of 20 in a variety of offset depths: 3.2 mm; 6 mm; 12 mm

April 2016

After the Photography Show it feels as if our training “roadshow” has really moved up a gear with our Art & Photography Framing Weekends reaching all around the country with annual visits to Exeter and Newark (last couple of weekends) then Hereford, Telford, Christchurch, Canterbury and Norwich still to come, not to mention spring / summer visits to our regular venues in York, Manchester and Brighton.

Hot off the press: we are launching a competition with a prize of a £50 product voucher and, keeping to the mount cutting theme, over the Bank Holiday Weekend you could take advantage of deals on Logan Mount Cutting Systems.  Then in June we wil be holding another Open Day at our High Wycombe base, which includes a chance to attend our FREE seminars / demonstrations.

We have also changed dates for one of our specialist training sessions to enable more people to find out how to frame sports shirts and there’s a list of other, more specific styles of framing project that we feature in training workshops both in High Wycombe and Manchester.
