Congratulations & Celebrations!

Jan D well done.jpg

You will no doubt remember reading about Jan Doyle, one of our trainers, and her early experiences in setting up her own framing business: Cherry Orchard Framers. Well congratulations are definitely in order, because she recently passed her Fine Arts Trade Guild, Guild of Commended Framers award. Apart from the prestige, letters after her name and probably charging customers more … she now gets to frame her posh new certificate. Well done Jan.

Seize The Day

Andy Cunningham port 150.jpg

Just under a year ago, Andy Cunningham joined us for our first framing weekend in Newark. The weather, venue and company were brilliant and it all clearly had a positive impact on Andy. Here’s his story, in his own words.

“My interest in framing was a response to satisfy my practical and creative urges. I have always enjoyed arts, crafts and technology and missed having projects and seeing a finished project. My wife suggested that I should think about setting up as a picture framer which seemed like an ideal way to compliment my interest in photography.”

Pack It In

Start Up courses.jpg

“I want to start doing my own framing. What are the best courses to do?”
That is always a difficult one, because everybody has their own particular idea of what they are likely to be framing. However, it is possible to draw attention to some groupings we do put together which seem to provide some ideal starts.
