Show Time

Craft4Crafters150x157.jpg

The Craft4Crafters exhibition is running from 5th - 7th September at the Newark & Nottingham Showground; it should appeal to all artists, needle workers and crafters. Although a new venue for DIYframing, we found last year's event in Exeter, run by the same group, was a great success, so we are looking forward to an exciting few days. To find out more about this show, follow the link Craft4Crafters.

We will also be attending the Exeter show at the end of September.

Open Day

DIYframing Open Days, in the summer and near Christmas, are becoming regular features of the framing calendar. There are so many reasons why you should pop along and see us on September 13th 2008 at our Beaconsfield base. One of the best might be to take advantage of the free seminars with guest David Wilkie GCF.

Specialist Training

FramingShirts.jpg

The UK School of Framing is starting to move into more specialised areas with its ever-developing training programme. As well as maintaining the current courses profile, we now aim to offer areas for broadening and extending the skills of those, who have been with us for some time. This means that more experienced and even professional framers will now be able to find something to challenge them. For details of workshops on offer click: Specialist Training.

Maidstone Winner

MaidWinDot.jpg

At every one of the shows and exhibitions we attend throughout the year, we give visitors the chance to win a free training day. If you ever wonder about how things work out for our prize winners, we can reveal all. Some of our winners were invited to join our training session in Maidstone in July. We caught up with one of those winners, Dot Penn, who was happy to tell us about her prize winning experience.

Massive Range of Mouldings

Mouldings.jpg

Spending 8 hours looking at different moulding profiles may not seem to be an exciting way to spend a working day. However, for 3 members of our team, that is exactly what they did when deciding on our hugely upgraded range of mouldings. The reason we give it so much thought is that we know the way you work and types of framing you need to do. Matching up a versatile and practical range of mouldings with great looks and design was a challenge. But, take a look at the exciting styles we now offer and we know you'll be impressed.

The weather might be awful, but here's a little ray of sunshine to give you a special glow. Keeping up the momentum of our New Years resolutions, we can now tell you about the new moulding range available and our training days for specialist projects.  There are reminders of the next set of training days around the UK, shows we will be visiting and news of our summer Open Day.

Finally we have another of our feature articles about the framing business and what it feels like to be a DIYframing winner.
