Make It Local, Make It Yours

LocalBusiness.jpg

Many things will evolve in your business as you become more confident with what you are doing. One thing, however, that seems to remain the same is the customer profile. If you check your database, you will probably discover that the majority of your customers live within a 5 mile radius of your shop / workshop. In more rural areas it might be a bit wider, say 10 miles. But the clear fact is that the main income is generated locally.

This latest article for the PPFA takes you through some important ideas for making sure you remain the Number 1 (local) Picture Framing company MORE>>

Deep Bevel Mount Kit

DeepBevelKit150.jpg

Using a deep bevel mount is a great way to add real quality to your picture framing. The Foam Biseaux tradition uses bevelled strips of foam core to line the aperture of the mount. By first decorating the face of the bevel with specialist tapes, the end result looks stunning. To help you get started we have put together a special kit.

It consists of: a foam board cutter; 2 x sheets 5mm foam core; 2 x mat decoration tapes; 1 x conservation double sided (ATG) tape; 1 x masking tape; Handy Hints instructions sheet.

At just £58 for the kit (+P&P) you are saving over 10% off catalogue prices.

October 2008

If it's not a great time to be moving house and you don't want to spend a fortune on extensions and major home improvement projects, a great way of giving yourself a lift is with a bit of interior design.  This month we have a feature on creating deep bevel mounts, to create a really stylish look to framed artwork. So, to help lift your work, we have packaged together, in a money saving kit, the specialist extras you need for the job.  There are also fantastic offers on the Onyx 90 board cutting system (while stocks last); a useful heavy duty cutter, especially if floor space is at a premium.

We conclude the series of articles about developing your own picture framing business, looking at your customer base and pulling out all the stops to corner the local market.  With reminders of training and exhibition dates & venues, before Christmas, there is something for everyone in this month's edition.
