Seminars

Over the two days there are 4 seminar titles on offer.  Each one has been targeted to answer questions on areas, about which we get most enquiries.  They are intended for hobbyists, those of you framing your own work for exhibition and sale as well as those of you who may be looking for another way to earn money (or even change your way of life).   It is hoped that as well as resolving some of the unanswered questions you have, these sessions may also whet your appetite and inspire you to go further.   All sessions are led by our training coordinator, Richard Buttle.

The titles are:

  • Preparing Needlecraft for Framing:   Friday 4th August, 11.00 am - 12.00 pm
  • 10 Simple Steps to Make BIG Profits From Framing At Home: Friday 4th August, 1.00 pm - 2.00 pm
  • Producing the WOW Factor (in your framing):   Saturday 5th August, 11.00 am - 12.00 pm
  • Planning the Perfect Workspace:  Saturday 5th August, 1.00 pm - 2.00 pm

Bargains - Big Savings At DIYframing

The special offers are genuine.  Most of our catalogue prices will be reduced by 10% for the two Open Days only. So if you are teetering on the brink of upgrading a piece of equipment or generally stocking up on things, these days are not to be missed.  If you are able to take it away with you as well, you are also saving on postage and packaging. AND you get to play with it all as soon as you get it home.

Even better, now that we have the new sales' area, we have been looking at current stock and have decided to get things totally organised.  This means that we have some stock to reduce and clear. So, you will be able to pick up bargains in the form of:

  • Ex demonstration tools
  • A whole range of sheet materials
  • One-off mouldings - these will include some very "arty" styles, with some as cheap as 50p per metre.

Of course there may well be other things that find their way in to the bargain basement - the only way to find out is to come and have a look.

Practical Demonstrations

Throughout the two days, there will be members of the DIYframing team available to show you how to operate just about any bit of the framing equipment we stock.  This also means that if you are not sure of the advantages of one piece of "kit" over another, you will see, first hand what the benefits are and the relative costs.  In fact, we should be able to demonstrate a wider range of equipment than we have ever been able to at shows and trade exhibitions.

You can also visit the Training Room where there is a display about each of our training days, the types of activity used in training and some examples of the results.  The training programme is outlined in our Course Booklets, available to all visitors.  A member of the training team will be on hand to offer more detailed information on request.

Advice & Support

One of the reasons for having these days is to provide a real chance to have in-depth chats about what we sell and the service we can provide.  You will know from our website that we try to provide support and advice for all of you having a go at framing, at whatever level.  We share the same passion for wanting artwork and memorabilia to be displayed in exciting and well crafted ways.

Over the two days we hope you will be able to pick our brains (won't take long in some cases!) and ask us about any projects you might be stuck with, tools you are confused by or simple questions about best methods or what materials should be used.  Between us we will be able to offer guidance and, in some cases, demonstrate the solutions using the tools and materials on show.  You could also be helping us to provide some interesting new discussion points for our on line FORUM (click to visit the forum).

We are also hoping to have a couple of visitors representing some of our suppliers - this could be another avenue for specialist advice

Thank you for your continued support.

Until next time...
