Top Quality Prints Guaranteed

The printing process we can offer you is a top quality product.  First choose the print media for your print: watercolour paper; photo paper; canvas - with a choice of matt or gloss finish.

When you have placed your order, please make sure accurate contact details are provided. We often need to liaise with the customers to fine tune work: we can help manipulate the images ready for printing, change resolution, file size, enlarge etc.  This is all to ensure you get the best possible, printed image quality.

The following information is to help you with the practical side of the process.

1 Contacts

Image upload, quality & anything technical -

e: info@diyframing.com

Order queries-

e: info@diyframing.co.uk t: 0800801061

2 File Size

The quality of the finished print depends very much on uploading appropriate file sizes for printing. When taking pictures always go for best quality you can manage.  Then on your computer, create the largest file size appropriate for the print you are after.  Upgrade to:

RESOLUTION - 300 dpi (essential)

PRINT SIZE - dimension* appropriate to final print (eg A4 print, longer dimension set to 297 mm)

*if in doubt leave the print size dimension and just upgrade the resolution.  We will contact you if we encounter any problems.

3 Transfer Method

All files must be sent a Jpeg to info@diyframing.com

4 Fitting

Your images will not be cropped.  They will be sized to fit the canvas dimensions chosen: original proportions will be maintained.  "Spare" areas outside standard proportions will remain blank on rolled prints and canvas.  Stretched canvas will be created to fit image size.

Bear in mind that for canvas wraps, we will need to allow 70mm of image to bleed along all sides of your image.  You might need to consider the next canvas size up in order to keep the image size you want with enough for the wrap around. Any special requirements / arrangements can be discussed through usual contact methods.

5 Scanned Picture Files

If you wish to upload scanned images from a flatbed scanner, make sure it is set to 300 dpi or greater.  Save your file in RGB mode, using JPEG format at the highest quality setting, with low compression.
